Demand for Blu-ray Players

The global recession has impacted the consumer in many ways, one of which has been in home video sales. There is a bright spot and although DVD sales declined in 2008 by over 7%, Blu-Ray Discs grew by 300%. The Dark Knight fueled Blu-ray Movies & TV sales. This clearly demonstrates the increasing popularity of the Blu-ray format which in turn will drive more sales of Cheap Blu-ray Disc Players. The other good news is that Blu-ray Disc Players are coming down in price and you can find many good values under $199, like some of the best rated LG and Samsung players. In summary, DVDs are becoming less popular and Blu-ray Disc Players are becoming more popular.
